Our Story
Arca Beta was born during the pandemic to make a real difference in Amazonian school communities.
TOGETHER, WE CAN TRANSFORM LIVES
When the pandemic began, it didn’t just change routines—it revealed deep inequalities. In the Peruvian Amazon, education gaps, poverty, and environmental challenges are tightly connected, and vulnerable communities feel the impact first.
Instead of feeling powerless, I chose to act. I started connecting with people online—some were new allies, others were friends I had met through volunteering in different countries. Together, we created spaces to share ideas, build trust, and design practical, community-centered solutions.
By early 2021, that grassroots initiative became a clear mission: support schools that were being left behind. We mobilized volunteers and mentors to strengthen learning, promote sustainability, and empower students to lead projects with real local impact.
Today, Arca Beta is established as an NGO based in Lima, Peru, working alongside communities in the Peruvian Amazon. Our purpose is simple: create lasting opportunities through education and sustainability—because real change happens when children gain the tools to shape their future.
Our founders and international contributors share a unified commitment to the same values and principles. This shared vision helps us collaborate as a global team—creating meaningful, lasting impact.
