Our Team
Together, We Can Transform Lives"
At the beginning of the pandemic, I witnessed how various social problems were laid bare, revealing deep inequities across societies. These issues ranged from low levels of education, rising poverty, and social inequality to a pervasive lack of environmental awareness. The pandemic acted as a magnifying glass, especially for the vulnerable populations in the Amazon Rainforest, who are disproportionately affected by climate change and global warming.
Determined to address these challenges, I began connecting with people through the internet—some were new acquaintances, while others were friends I had met during my previous volunteer work in different countries. Together, we organized online events to brainstorm innovative solutions for pressing social and environmental issues.
In early 2021, amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic, this grassroots initiative took shape. We recognized that vulnerable school communities were being left to face these challenges, so we mobilized volunteers worldwide to act as a united force for change.
Today, Arca Beta is officially established as an NGO based in Lima, Peru. Our mission is to empower communities in the Amazon Rainforest, addressing the interconnected challenges of climate change, education, poverty, and social inequality. Through collaboration and collective action, we continue to work tirelessly to build a more sustainable school and equitable future for all.
Our founders and international contributors share a unified commitment to the same values and principles. This shared vision allows us to collaborate seamlessly as a global team, leveraging diverse perspectives and strengths to achieve our common goals and create meaningful, lasting impact.

EMPATHY AND DO SOMETHING GOOD
I came to Peru to make an impact. I was volunteering before I joined Arca Beta, helping to create and follow-up educational projects in Peru.
I consider myself a lucky person because I had a vast and interesting professional experience in different areas, from working in logistics on how to start a project all the way to marketing management. Even in my great line of work, I felt something important was still missing: I wanted to use those skills to serve more people and the environment. When I found out that my Miguel was gathering a team in 2021, I joined right away. I’m grateful to our teammates, for your kind hearts and honesty. We have a great future ahead!
