2021

Milestone

Born during the pandemic: Arca Beta initiative was born during the pandemic; we organized ourselves online and took action in education.
Global classroom connection: We connected and organized digital sessions with a school in Finland.
First fundraising campaign: We launched our first fundraising campaign to organize a Christmas party at the San Juan de Miraflores school in Iquitos during the pandemic.

2022

Milestone

Formal creation (July 2022): NGO Arca Beta was formally created with RUC 20609719738.
Government registration (October 2022): Registered at the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.
International cooperation pathway: Registration at the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI) in 2023.

2023

Impact

Environmental education: We directly educated 25 students and indirectly reached 3,000+ students through awareness activities in 2023.
ALfA results: 150 primary students participated in the ALfA project, improving reading skills and basic maths.
Recognition: An Environmental Club participant received an award for their work and commitment in 2023.
Connectivity for learning: We purchased and lent an internet antenna to the San Juan school, supporting the 2023 school year.
Student wellbeing: We ran a crowdfunding campaign to provide lunch support for 20+ students in 2023.

2024

Global Reach

Tools for learning: We donated a laptop to the Sachachorro school.
International solidarity: We coordinated donations and sent gifts for primary school students with support from partners in India.
Volunteer network: We worked with 30+ Peruvian and international volunteers.
Fundraising infrastructure: We opened a dedicated bank account for NGO operations and fundraising.
Global platform partner: We joined a global giving platform to connect our work with donors and businesses worldwide.

2025

Partnerships

Technology & innovation delivery: Delivered 30 laptops, a 3D printer, and two robotics kits with support from a school in Texas (United States), and launched the 2025 Environmental Club at a public school in Belén, Iquitos.
Institutional agreements: Signed a Framework Agreement with the Regional Education Management of Loreto (GREL) and interinstitutional framework agreements with the District Municipality of Belén and the Provincial Municipality of Maynas (Loreto).
Legal & fundraising readiness: Registered in the Registry of Entities Exempt from Income Tax (SUNAT) and listed in the Registry of Donation Recipients (SUNAT).
Environmental Club implementation: Implemented the Environmental Club with 72 secondary school students, including community engagement and awareness campaigns.
Circular economy results: Students collected 265.37 liters of used cooking oil and produced 500+ eco-soaps through a school entrepreneurship initiative.
Reinvestment & celebrations: Reinvested funds to support the 2025 Environmental Club activities and seed the next eco-soap production for the 2026 school year; awarded the winning team “Arapaima” (1st place) and supported the end-of-year chocolatada.

2026

Milestone

Official membership: Arca Beta became an official member of the Regional Pact for Education in Loreto, strengthening collaboration with public institutions, schools, and partners to advance rural literacy, environmental education, and long-term educational impact across the Amazon region.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU): We signed an MOU with One Voice 4 Change to strengthen collaboration and expand impact through shared initiatives and intercultural exchange.
